Project Overview

We were first introduced to Hague Dental about seven years ago while working at Essex Smile Centre. At that time, we worked closely with Hague to completely refurbish the entire practice. Since then, we have been relying on them for our equipment and engineering support.

Having already experienced the exceptional service and quality that Hague Dental delivers, it was straightforward for my business partner, Dr Jayesh Pala, and me to choose Hague to handle our new squat practice project in Shenfield.

Our visits to the Hague Dental showroom were invaluable in shaping our decisions. Seeing the wide range of products on display added significant value to our choices, helping us visualise how different pieces would work in our space. Kirsty’s collection of wallpapers, flooring, fabrics, and furniture was a delight to explore – it sparked our creativity and made the design process both fun and inspiring.

The planning phase of the project was executed flawlessly. Hague Dental’s expertise in designing a practical, well-functioning space was clear from the beginning. Throughout the process, it truly felt like we were working as a cohesive team. Hague’s building contractors, in particular, stood out as some of the best I’ve ever worked with, demonstrating skill, professionalism, and a commitment to quality.

Navigating the shopfront design and planning permission stages was made effortless with Hague’s support. Their knowledge and guidance through this sometimes-daunting process were invaluable, ensuring everything progressed smoothly. Hague’s Project Management was a vital part of this, keeping the project on track and ensuring deadlines were met without issue.

When it came to choosing dental chairs, we opted for A-dec 500 chairs, which we believe are the best on the market. Our dentists are particularly fond of A-dec chairs, and they’ve become a crucial element in ensuring the comfort and quality of care we offer to our patients.

The inspiration for our interior design came from an unexpected source – a piece of animal skin I discovered in a junk shop during a weekend away. Its rich brown and cream tones evoked a sense of warmth, and we decided to expand on this, incorporating natural elements such as wood, cement, leather, and brick into the design. We wanted our practice to be far from ordinary, and with Kirsty’s help, we created a stunning, modern space that reflects that vision. Together, we developed a unique and cohesive design that beautifully integrates these materials.

The interior design has been a highlight for us, with the reception area receiving especially high praise. Patients regularly comment on how beautiful the practice is, and many have told us it’s the most impressive dental practice they’ve ever visited.

This project has been an incredible learning experience. Our first “squat” practice taught us valuable lessons, and we are confident that the next one will be even more seamless. The insights we gained from this design journey will undoubtedly inform and improve our approach.

”I would totally recommend Hague. The initial design, the quality of the design but mainly working with a team who are so friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. They made the process seamless and took all the worry away.”
